My ISP boosted my DSL connection from 384/128 to 1024/256 today – for free! I must say I’m impressed, however there are downsides with my ISP though, and I might switch sooner rather than later.
In the ongoing PowerBook saga, I called Apple Support today, and they’re sending me a box via UPS for return of the PowerBook. Combo-drive will be replaced, for free. Should take 2-3 days for box to arrive, and another 5 days for them to get it down and up again. As always with Apple, multiply the number of days by 3.4.
Oh, and if you ever considered backing up your Mac to another Mac via Ethernet and Apples Backup – don’t. Everything slows to a crawl. Applications react slow, the internet is slow, bah.
